Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness DOMS

Ok so today is the time to talk about it! One of the side effects of BFRT. The reason is that it really hit me in the calves 48 hours after my second workout. In fact, my calves were so tender, that i have a bit of a time walking!

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) has a great resource, description on this link https://www.acsm.org/docs/default-source/files-for-resource-library/delayed-onset-muscle-soreness-(doms).pdf?sfvrsn=8f430e18_2

DOMS is not what a lot of athletes, weight lifters, and bodybuilders feel after a workout where the weight or resistence was so great that they actually damaged muscle fibers and their joints.

You don't have to wait a day, alternate upper and lower workouts with DOMS. But that does not make it any less painful.

Today, i just altered the exercises. No heel reaises today!

Workout today, all using 30 - 15 - 15 - 15 reps with 30 seconds rest

Bicep Curls using black CLX

Tricep Pulldowns using black CLX

Counter assist pushups

Leg Raisers (sitting in a chair)

Butt Kicks

Chair Sits

Amazingly the counter pushups were easier today and i could do all of them.
