- 01
- 02RockCuff is a calibrated, rigid, nonpneumatic Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) cuff designed for Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT).Unlike pneumatic BFR systems that create pressure by inflating an air bladder, RockCuff creates pressure mechanically using a rigid cuff, adjustable strap and precision dial. The objective is the same as other BFR equipment: restrict venous blood flow from the working limb while maintaining arterial blood flow into it during exercise. The difference is how RockCuff gets there. No pump. No air bladder. No electronics. Just controlled, calibrated pressure.
- 03RockCuff was designed to address four of the biggest barriers to widespread BFR use:LOWER PRESSUREIts rigid structure is designed to distribute pressure efficiently across the cuff's effective width, allowing RockCuff to operate at lower initial pressures than many less-efficient cuff designs.MORE COMFORTUsing less pressure can reduce unnecessary tissue compression and make BFR more comfortable during exercise.LESS COMPLEXITYNo pumps, hoses, batteries, charging, apps, Bluetooth, software or electronic controllers.EASIER TO USEOnce fitted, RockCuff can be applied in approximately 5–10 seconds and adjusted in approximately one second. The result is a BFR system designed for use in the clinic, gym, training room, field or home.
- 04Most clinical BFR systems have historically used an inflatable pneumatic bladder to create pressure around the limb.RockCuff takes a different approach.Instead of inflating a bladder, its rigid structure mechanically transfers tension from the dial and strap into pressure against the limb. That eliminates the need for:PUMPS • AIR BLADDERS • HOSES • BATTERIES • CHARGING • SOFTWARE • BLUETOOTHRockCuff isn't an electronic pneumatic cuff with fewer features. It's a different way to apply BFR pressure.
- 05RockCuff uses a precision mechanical dial connected to a steel lace and adjustable strap.Turning the dial clockwise progressively shortens the cuff circumference, increasing tension in small, repeatable increments. After the cuff has been properly positioned and its snug baseline established, each click provides approximately:UPPER BODY — 3 mmHg per clickLOWER BODY — 3.5 mmHg per clickThis allows users and clinicians to make small, repeatable adjustments without a pump or electronic controller.POSITION → SNUG → DIAL → ASSESS
- 06RockCuff's outer structure is designed to resist deformation as tension increases. That is important because the structure of a cuff affects how pressure is transferred to the limb.Rather than depending on an expanding air bladder or a highly elastic strap, RockCuff maintains its basic geometry while the dial increases mechanical tension. The goal is a more uniform pressure profile across the cuff's effective width.
- 07“Pneumatic” means pressure is generated using compressed air or gas.RockCuff uses no air.Pressure is generated mechanically by tightening the rigid cuff around the limb with its calibrated dial and strap system. That means there is:No inflatable bladderNo pumpNo pressure hoseNo compressorNo air to leakNo electronic inflation system Pressure without pneumatics.
- 08The primary difference is how pressure is created and distributed.PNEUMATIC BFRUses an inflatable bladder to create pressure.Depending on bladder and cuff construction, the effective pressure area and pressure profile can differ from the cuff's measured width.ROCKCUFFUses a rigid mechanical structure designed to distribute pressure across essentially the full effective width of the cuff.In RockCuff pressure-distribution testing, this produced a broader, flatter pressure profile than the pneumatic cuffs tested.Greater pressure-transfer efficiency helps explain why RockCuff can operate at lower applied pressures than some pneumatic systems of similar measured width.
- 09Elastic straps create pressure by stretching material around the limb.Because elastic material can stretch, roll, fold or change shape, the effective pressure area may be substantially narrower than the strap's measured width.RockCuff is designed to maintain its shape. In RockCuff pressure-distribution testing, the rigid design produced pressure across nearly the full measured cuff width, while the elastic straps tested concentrated pressure into a considerably narrower area. That difference can affect:Required pressurePressure distributionComfortRepeatabilityAdjustmentRockCuff also provides calibrated mechanical adjustment, something traditional elastic wraps generally do not provide.
- 10SkinSafe™ is RockCuff's platinum-cured silicone interface between the rigid cuff structure and the user's limb.It is designed to:Improve contact with the limbHelp distribute pressureReduce pinchingIncrease friction to reduce cuff migrationImprove comfort during exerciseThe specific interface construction varies by RockCuff model.
- 11No.RockCuff is entirely mechanical. It requires:NO POWERNO BATTERYNO CHARGERNO BLUETOOTHNO WI-FINO SOFTWAREPick it up and use it wherever your training takes you. The manual design makes it easier-to-use than pneumatic cuffs that require pre-charging, connections to bluetooth or networks, because there is no pre-use preparation.
- 12No.There is no app to install, account to create, device to pair, subscription to maintain or software to update. The cuff's setting is controlled directly through the mechanical dial.No connection required.Once you understand how to use BFR, you can adapt your current workout or exercise to use with BFR saving time and joint wear.

- 14Once properly fitted, RockCuff can typically be installed in approximately 5–10 seconds.Adjustments during exercise take approximately one second. This can be especially valuable in clinical and team environments where equipment setup can disrupt workflow.Compare that to pneumatic cuffs that require from 30 to 60-seconds to set up and can take 15 to 30-seconds to adjust.Slide. Set. Train.
- 15RockCuff has sold more than 40,000 cuffs over the past 5 years. - 16RockCuff sizing is based on the circumference of the limb where the cuff will be worn.SMALL8–12 inchesBest suited for smaller upper limbs.MEDIUM12–18 inchesThe most common upper-body size for adults.LARGE18–33 inchesThe most common lower-body size for adults. For many adults:ARMS → MEDIUMLEGS → LARGEAlways measure before ordering rather than choosing size based solely on body height or weight.

- 18Every RockCuff model is designed around the same, proven technology and uses the same core rigid, calibrated, nonpneumatic technology. The primary differences are the interface materials and durability required for different levels of use.FitSportFor home fitness and individual athletes.Features an integrated gel and neoprene interface in RockCuff's most affordable configuration.ClinicProFor clinicians and serious athletes.Designed for frequent use with an external gel interface suitable for clinical and performance environments.EliteProFor maximum-use environments.Designed for high-volume clinics, teams, elite athletes and tactical performance, with an external gel interface, heavy-duty nylon strap and metal buckle.
- 19BFR, Reengineered.Traditional BFR equipment asks:How can we make pneumatic BFR smarter?RockCuff started with a different question:What if you didn't need pneumatics at all?The result is a:RIGIDCALIBRATEDNONPNEUMATICBlood Flow Restriction cuff designed to apply pressure efficiently, adjust quickly and go wherever you train.Less pressure. Less complexity. More possibility.
- 20“Set It and Forget It” is RockCuff's approach to making a clinician-established home program easier to reproduce. The clinician:Measures the limb.Fits RockCuff correctly.Establishes an appropriate initial setting.Assesses the patient during exercise.Teaches the patient the prescribed protocol.Establishes the repeatable baseline for future sessions. At home, the patient can return the cuff to that established starting configuration rather than attempting to determine a completely new setting every session.“Set It and Forget It” does not mean stop monitoring.Users should still pay attention to comfort, sensation, fatigue and their response during every session.
